Entwickler und Hersteller SiS gab heute bekannt, dass man einen neuen Wireless LAN Chip in Serienreife gebracht hat: Der neue SiS 162 unterstützt den 802.11b Standard und ermöglicht somit Übertragungsraten von bis zu 11 MBit/sec. Nebenbei zählt der Controller zu den kleinsten seiner Klasse und unterstützt zusätzlich auch noch USB 2.0.
